Chandauli Polytechnic Chandauli, Chandauli Uttar Pradesh is one of the popular college in India. It is situated on 33 km east on NH-2 from Varanasi and 1 km north form Chandauli Sakaldiha road situated on Mughalsarai Gaya railway line from Chandauli Majhwar railway station.
Chandauli Polytechnic Chandauli was established in October 1957.In the name of Civil Engineering School with an intake capacity of 60. In July 1963 Diploma courses in Electrical and Mechanical Engineering were introduced and the institution was made a Polytechnic with an intake capacity of 120 student; 30 in civil, 45 in Electrical and 45 in Mechanical and the name of the organization was changed and was kept Chandauli Polytechnic Chandauli. This was done according to instruction of Indian Government that for all the diploma level institutions having Polytechnic in their name.
The Institute introduced a three year Diploma course in Agriculture Engineering with an intake of 30 student in 1973-74 making the total intake to 150. On the basis of employment opportunities the admission capacity was changed by the government from time to time.
In 1990, two new courses, three-year Electronics Engineering and 1/2 year Diploma in Computer Application started in the institution. Later on, the Computer Application course will be converted into 2-year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Application. The total admission capacity of the institution became 360.
From session 2009-10,evening-classes started in the above 6 courses under self-financing scheme with the total admission capacity 360. In this way, the intake capacity of both the shifts together is 720.
Community Development through Polytechnic, Government of India funded and operated in the institution, in this scheme, is free job oriented training is provided to the unemployed youth and girls. Presently the training is postponed due to non-availability of funds.
